Magnet Street offers announcements, invitations, cards, and other related products, but what sets them apart from many of the other retailers is that many of their designs are available as magnets instead of the traditional paper form. Their site is well laid out, and clearly categorized by content as well as gender. If I had to make one negative comment it's that the thumbnail images are a little small and often one has to click through to the design's page in order to see it properly.
We (my wife and I) went through the site and found a number of designs that we really liked. We eventually settled on one of their monogrammed designs, although we didn't care for the yellow and found the font a little feminine for our tastes (having a boy after three and a half years of girly will do that to you).
The ordering process was quite simple. Most of the customizations were done in a standard web form, and there is a space for notes to the designer for more customization. We decided to change the yellow to a mint green, and the font to something we felt was a bit more masculine. Since I have some experience with graphics, I knew how to communicate the desired shade of green using hex codes, but I'm sure if I had just said "mint green" the designer and I would have sorted out the appropriate shade quickly. Of course, the font change was simple: I just told them what font I wanted.
After placing my order, within a few days (I did it on a holiday weekend) I received a link to a PDF with my proof. Once I approved it, the magnets arrived within a week. I was very pleased with the result:

The entire process: ordering, customization, proof, shipping (I even got a UPS notification ahead of the delivery), and the final product were fantastic, and admittedly beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend Magnet Street to anyone looking for a unique way to do announcements, invitations, or cards.
